Thank you for these insightful comments, Nina. Precisely the predicament I was in. I’m not going to give it away but I wasn’t completely satisfied with the outcome.
This, "“This is a rare opportunity for me to see a preacher actually practice what he preaches,” one of my friends told me. I thanked him for his kindness but I also winced at what was implied behind those words. I didn’t tell him that my head pastor did not donate to the fundraiser at all." So much said here in so little space. I am so looking forward to the next episode. Thank you for sharing these stories of your kindness and of the humans you care for. ❤️
Friend... I'm preaching on October 20 on the topic, "the church as a means of alleviating suffering," and let's just say I sure hope part 5 drops before then 😬
Amazing design for that coat. I would have happily donated had I known about the GoFundMe!! Did you reach your financial goal for the 100 coats ordered?
Thank you for this, Paul. I’m a little ahead of myself but the ever growing plight is the unsolvable problem for us right now. I’m going to talk more about this frustration but the hope also. Thank you for the restack, too!
Amazing. And also interesting. Who contributed and who didn't, that's a familiar story for me, one of realization. I am waiting to hear the rest of your story around this. And I'm encouraged because you're sharing this. It helps me feel like I'm not alone in my experiences, my version. Thanks as always, Steve.
Is this Go Fund me still active?
J it is not. This was a one shot deal and I didn’t have the energy and resources to do it again…yet…😉
Very clever coat design and concept as well as development of the training program.
Suspense....how are you going to solve this dilemma and multiply the fishes and the loaves?
A lottery would leave too many people unserved, a request for more coats....expensive.
I cannot imagine how you solve this except by another GoFundMe appeal?

Thanks for being here, friend. I appreciate your affirmation of the economy of words. Glad you’re enjoying the ride.
Living your religion, sincerity is what really matters!
Absolutely! Thanks, Stan.

You’ll be happy to know that Part 5 comes out next Wednesday 😉

It is pretty amazing isn’t it? Yes, we did reach our goal for the finances. Thanks for commenting, Korie.
The plight is never ending and, sadly, always growing, Steve. I salute your commitment to serve!
